Jackson Franklin For Congress 2026
Democratic Candidate for IN-5
“People Over Profits!”
“This campaign is dedicated to removing the influence of big money in politics, ensuring that politicians prioritize the issues that matter to everyday Americans—not cater to corporate donors.
That’s why we’ve pledged never to accept big-dollar donations and are building a grassroots movement powered entirely by small-dollar contributions. By centering our campaign in populist policy that would benefit everyone in this nation, we are fighting to build a system that represents all Americans—not just the top one percent!”

End Corruption; Reform Campaign Finance
As a campaign that only accepts small-dollar contributions, we are committed to fighting the legalized corruption that occurs at every level of our political system.
To do this, we need to overturn the disastrous Supreme Court decision of Citizens United, which allowed unlimited money to be dumped into political campaigns. The millionaire and billionaire classes essentially buy our elections, and our politicians, in turn, are beholden to them—completely turning their backs on the working class.
Here in America, we have the best democracy that money can buy. Our democracy should consist of elections, not auctions. That is why we advocate for public financing of elections so that everyone, not just the millionaire class and their friends, has their interests represented in our government.
Medicare For All
Our healthcare system is fundamentally broken.
More than 68,000 Americans die every year due to lack of healthcare, and millions more are uninsured or underinsured. This campaign is calling for our country to catch up to the rest of the developed world and guarantee Medicare for every citizen across the country.
Medical bills are the number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States.
We should be spending money on doctors, nurses, mental health specialists, dentists, and other professionals who improve and protect our health. We must invest in the development of new drugs and technologies that cure disease and alleviate pain—not waste billions of dollars a year on profiteering, executive compensation packages, and outrageous administrative costs.
The giant pharmaceutical and health insurance lobbies have spent billions of dollars over the past decades and have donated to our opponent in this race to ensure that their profits come before the health of the American people. We must defeat them!
Restore Women’s Rights
Our campaign recognizes that women’s rights are human rights!
We need to ensure that all women have the right to control their own bodies, equal access to workplace safety, equal pay, paid parental leave, full access to healthcare, and more.
Roe v. Wade protected women’s right to a safe and legal abortion for nearly 50 years, and with the Dobbs v Jackson decision, this extremist Supreme Court has stripped away that basic right. We stand with women in their right to have open access to safe, legal, affordable abortion, birth control, and family planning services. We also believe people deserve access to affordable pre- and post-natal care, regardless of income, location, or education.
This campaign supports passing federal legislation to codify reproductive healthcare and the right to have an abortion into federal law. Let’s give women their rights back.
Legalize Cannabis & End The War On Drugs
Indiana is one of only 11 states left not to have any form of legalized cannabis.
The criminalization of marijuana has ruined lives, and disproportionately affected communities of color. It’s time to decriminalize it, expunge past marijuana-related convictions, and ensure that the revenue gained by legalization will be reinvested into the communities hit hardest by the disastrous “war on drugs.”
The United States spends over $80 billion each year on incarcerating people. This campaign wants the government to invest intentionally in education, housing, healthcare, and employment. I believe non-violent drug offenders deserve a pardon, and addiction should be treated, not punished.
Legalize. Tax. Regulate.
“Now is the time to create a government which represents all Americans and not just the 1%.”
